Overview:
FreshDirect is one of the nation’s leading online food brands, known for its convenient home delivery service and the manufacture of fresh, delicious food. Changing the way customers shop for groceries since 2002, the company uses a direct distribution model with in-house, overnight production that cuts out the middleman and helps FreshDirect offer farm-fresh food at low prices. Every product is 100% satisfactory guaranteed, every time. Since FreshDirect takes delivery directly from farms and manufacturers and delivers those products the very next day, compared to conventional grocery stores that move their products through much longer supply chains, the foods offered at FreshDirect are fresher and better quality at lower prices.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will manage all IT systems, including LAN, WAN, security, messaging and related systems. This includes:
•Support, monitor, test and troubleshoot hardware and software problems.
•Performing and coordinating effective installation and performance of advanced operating system hardware and software on servers.
•Install new software releases, system upgrades, evaluate and install patches and resolve software related problems.
•Support and maintain end user requirements, including troubleshooting, account maintenance and training.
•Plan and perform appropriate procedures, documentation, inventory assessment, and other procedures related to IT.
•Maintain, monitor, analyze system components and make recommendations regarding computer system security, monitor network, computer and disk utilization.
•Play a lead role in developing and implementing an IT disaster recovery plan.
•Inventory and provide accounting for resources including software, server, and other similar devices
•Conduct software and hardware evaluations, provide technical analysis and implement systems to meet the company`s IT goals.
•Undertake and manage research, development and implementation of a new FreshDirect Backend and Production Sytems.
•Develop a strategic IT plan to meet the requirements of FreshDirect`s overall growth plan to be reviewed on a regular basis with Management and adjusted as necessary.
•Work with a team to automate management tasks, streamline processes and perform standard administration functions as needed.
•Be responsible for managing the IT system to meet strategic goals.
•Obtain and/or maintain technical certifications necessary for continued FreshDirect growth and success.
•Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
•Maintain professionalism, good attitude and appropriate behavior with FreshDirect personnel and clients.
•Travel on occasion within the area and out of state for meetings and training.
Qualifications:
• Associates degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience (4 years or more) *MCP / MCSA / MCSE certified preferred
•4+ years experience with Microsoft Windows Administration, with 3+ years in a Windows 2000/2003environment supporting 40+ users, experience with Group Policies: Software, Security, Login and logoutfunctions, support of remote users via VPN technologies
•2+ years experience operating Windows 2000/2003 Exchange Infrastructure
•1+ years experience Internet Information Server, Web, FTP, SMTP
•Windows2008familiaritypreferredbutnotrequired
•Experience building and maintaining systems including:
•Architecting and implementing storage & data management solutions.
•Must have practical exposure to storage and data management products, Intel/AMD based servers and storage and NAS technologies.
•Maximize system availability and performance through fault-tolerant configuration, efficient networkarchitecture, and proactive server monitoring.
•Experience with Exchange Messaging solutions 2003 and/or above
•Experience to Webfilteringproducts,Anti-SpamandAntivirusSolutions
•Outstanding customer service skills, as well as excellent verbal and written communications skills.
•Demonstrated ability to be a team player and a willingness to lend a hand with any project
